LAPSE

The word ‘lapse’ can refer to an interval or passage of time, as in a time-lapse, and also a temporary failure: a lapse of concentration, a memory lapse.

Playing on these two meanings, LAPSE is a piece in two movements about time passing - first fluid and seamless like liquid - then increasingly broken, stuttering and stalling, characterised by failure.
